OK, so I like to make and drink beer. Not as much since I've been doing all this running and trying to lose weight, but I still partake from time to time. Depending upon the day, I will make it a choice to indulge. My choice is definitely one of the best lunch places in Tacoma, The Harmon. It's not just about the $8.88 specials (very good and fast) or the $1 10 oz. beer (cheaper than iced tea and much better) it's also about the best server around, Vanessa. A blog about the stuff the bubbles up from my brain. The topics are most often focused on my journey as a small business owner, avid reader, fly fisherman, coffee roaster, and human being.

Hope Springs Eternal

Well, it is Spring and the time of new birth, thus I will be making a better effort to post to my blog - at least once every couple of days. Life has been happening since I last posted (the day after getting Abby) November 2. Here are some highlights
- I had a birthday (38)
- Ian turned 8
- Julie had a birthday (not telling)
- I wrecked my Jetta
- The kids have grown
- We've visited the beach a lot
- Life has happened

On Safari
The kids and I took a trip over to Charlie's Safari yesterday and it was a blast. While they are still working out a few kinks you can see that it is going to be a very successful operation. With our weather being marginal at best for 9 months out of the year it is great to have a spot so close to home where the kids can get out (or in rather) and play. They offer a huge play area, bouncing houses and slides, put put golf, laser tag, and an arcade complete with tickets which you can redeem for prizes. While it is nearly 8 dollars a child for the bounce house and play area, adults with a paid child are FREE. (Laser Tag and Golf are extra). As an added bonus, even the adults can play! Just make sure to leave your shoes and BRING SOCKS...no bare feet allowed. :)
