Many of us out of towners stayed at the Super 8 I believe in Carpinteria. This candid shot shows the arrival of family and friends from far and wide. The parking lot was transformed into a reception area as everyone anticipated the time we would all be spending together.

It was August of 1996. I remember it well. I have a great pic of my Dad planting the American flag in the sand. A great time was had by all!! Let me know if you want me to send you the pic of the flag planting!

I'd love to see the photo of the flag planting - there are a lot of reunion pictures that I'd love to share and will over time. If you don't mind, please send me the one of your dad...I know others who'd enjoy seeing it.
